June 10, 20010 In attendance: Audrey Danner, Chair, Tom Mathers Vice Chair; Tom Gray, Board Member; Stephanie Beckett, Deputy Clerk, Brian Smith, Tony St John. Call to Order Pledge/Moment of Silence Consent Agenda Special meeting – Attorney Jeremy Snow Governor Ritter signed HB1284 effecting moratorium regulations on Monday June 7, 2010. Danner asks to have a discussion before the July 23rd deadline. (which is to notify the county clerk of participation in the General Election) Mathers made a motion to approve Resolution 2010-60 placing a temporary moratorium on the construction, alteration, or use of any buildings, structure, or properties for the growing or dispensing of medical marijuana for an additional period of six months. Gray seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. See attached. Gray question options that could occur with placing the issue on the ballot and the different choices of questions. Also if the state sets statutes, could the County adjust regulations. Gray feels that this is a wise decision to postpone this at this time. Danner questions how Dinosaur would fall into this situation. Snow says that if the County does nothing, the State guidelines would then be imposed on them.
